Brian D. Hale, M.D. Brian D. Hale, MD, FACS is a board certified urologist practicing in North Pinellas and South Pasco Counties since 1995. Dr. Hale born in Warrensville Heights, OH, and was raised in Atlanta, GA. He received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, and graduated in the top 3% of his class. He received his medical degree at Emory School of Medicine in 1989, and finished his urology training at Emory University Hospital in 1995. Dr. Hale has served as Chief of Surgery and is credited with several publications. He has presented research data at the national urology convention and has been involved in several research studies while in private practice. Dr. Hale has served as a clinical instructor in laparoscopy and taught the hand-assisted laparoscopic nephrectomy to urologists in central Florida, traveling to hospitals to help urologists with their first laparoscopic procedures. He is also one of the most experienced surgeons in the area for performing the radical perineal prostatectomy, a minimally invasive method of treating prostate cancer. Dr. Hale is currently an active member of the American Urological Association, American College of Surgeons, American Medical Association, Florida Medical Association, and Pinellas County Medical Society.
